Six Northeastern Cities to Experience 32-hour Blackout – TCN
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that six Northeastern cities will be without power supply for thirty two hours.
In a statement Saturday by Ndidi Mbah,
GM, Public Affairs, the Commission said, “its contractors will carry out Optic Fiber and Ground Wire (OPGW) installation on the 330kV Jos-Bauchi-Gombe Single Circuit Transmission Line at Bauchi 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation today, from 9 am on Saturday, 25th to 5 pm on Sunday, 26th July, 2026.
“As a result, Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) and Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity for onward delivery to customers in Bauchi, Gombe, Damaturu, Maiduguri, Yola, Jalingo and its environs.
“Please note that bulk power supply will be restored immediately after the exercise.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this will cause electricity customers in the specified affected areas.”
