Zamfara Installs 800 Solar Streetlights Across Tertiary Institutions
The Government of Zamfara, through its Electrification Agency, has facilitated the installation of 800 solar streetlights across seven tertiary institutions in the state.
The initiative, facilitated in partnership with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), is geared towards addressing the growing security concerns and recent disturbing incidents affecting educational institutions in the state.
The overriding objective is to significantly improve visibility and strengthen security on campuses, protecting students, staff, and property.
The government said, “This timely intervention aligns with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, to safeguard learning environments by deploying sustainable infrastructure that directly addresses safety challenges.
